Drone cleaning FAQ

Commercial building facades, including windows, plus commercial and residential roofs, solar arrays, and skylights. We also clean water towers, stadiums and arenas, scoreboards, signage, parking decks, and similar structures. Where height and access are the hard part of the job, that is exactly what the drone is for. Tell us what you have and we will let you know whether it is a fit.

It depends on the structure, which is what our assessment is for. Most surfaces can be cleaned safely once we match the method to the material: delicate materials like EIFS, painted metal, glass, brick, and masonry get a low-pressure soft wash with chemistry matched to the surface, solar panels are cleaned with deionized water and no chemicals, and durable surfaces like concrete get a power wash. Before any work, we assess the property and the materials it is made of, and we never force a method a surface cannot take. If a surface is not a good candidate, we will tell you.

It depends. A low-pressure soft wash is far kinder to aging masonry, ornate detail, and delicate facades than high-pressure washing, and cleaning by drone means no scaffolding anchored into a historic wall and no rope rigging against it. As with any structure, we assess the materials and their condition first, and if a surface is especially fragile or protected, we will tell you honestly whether it needs a preservation specialist instead.

Our drone reaches up to 150 feet. If your property is taller than that, tell us and we will let you know honestly whether we can help or point you to the right method.

Yes, in a focused way. Most of our work is commercial, but for homeowners we clean roofs, rooftop solar panels, and skylights, the jobs where a drone keeps a ladder off the house and the wear off the shingles. We do not currently offer full-house residential washing.

Now and then we may need to keep an area clear for a short time while we clean directly overhead, but there is no boom lift or scaffolding parked in place for hours or days. Our footprint is small and mobile, so any interruption is brief, and we work around your entrances, parking, and traffic wherever we can.

Yes, FAA Part 107 certified, and the business carries liability coverage. We are happy to provide a certificate of insurance for your records or your procurement team.
